Thistle Buzz on Mackinac Island

It’s that time of the winter when I crave outdoor warmth and greenery. Here’s a photograph from warmer times; taken in the Grand Hotel garden on Mackinac Island last summer. I should come up with something “sharp” about their “prickly” personalities but I am far too Vitamin D deficient!

    Excellent picture. The bee was even still. Close ups like this are not always easy to catch and this one does make it feel warmer inside just looking at it. Thanks for sharing.
