30 Days of Thanks – Day 18

Today I am thankful for my Flip Mino HD. I’ve used it to get video testimonials from a few clients on the real estate side of my business but I LOVE to use it to capture the Marching Band performances in a way that my camera can’t – with sound and movement. After all isn’t that what a Marching Band is all about?

For a sample of the Flip and to see the last 2009 Walled Lake Northern Marching Band performance of 2009, watch the series of videos below. The high school marching band closed the Clifford Smart 7th and 8th grade band performance at Northern and received a standing ovation from the audience in the final video.

The first video covers the Walled Lake Northern Marching Band playing Fanfare, Disco En Fuego from their show Boogie Knights and a new song, Let’s Groove.

In the second video the marching band performs Copa Cabana and another new song, You Can Call Me Al.

The last part of their performance came from their show Boogie Knights – Pure Disco – with a little “Thriller” thrown in.
